Frisco, Texas – The Texas Tornado Hockey Team, Frisco-Online.com, Bounce For Fun, Dan Scot Parr Band, Pavestone, the City of Frisco, in cooperation with various local merchants, are teaming up to raise $25,000+ for the survivors of Hurricane Katrina at a family-friendly event at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco. 100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund.
Date: Saturday, September 10
Time: 3:00pm-8:00pm

The event will take place in front of the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco and will precede the Texas Tornado Hockey game that evening at 7:30pm, as the Back-to-Back National Champion Texas Tornado take on the USA National Team. Frisco Helping Katrina Survivors will be a day of fun where people can listen to local bands, enjoy several bounce houses for the kids, play carnival games, test their hockey skills in the Texas Tornado slap shot cage, get a chance to dunk Frisco VIP’s and local celebrities in the dunk tank, and meet Texas Tornado hockey players.
Attendees can participate in a silent auction for Texas Tornado and Dallas Stars memorabilia including signed hockey sticks and jerseys, a luxury suite during a Tornado hockey game, signed country music memorabilia from top Country Music acts, and much more.
All activities and food will be available through donations. A wristband can be purchased for $10.00, which will allow unlimited use of all bounce houses and other inflatable activities. Tickets are 50¢ each, or 12 tickets can be purchased for $5.00. Food, dunk tank, and individual entertainment (face painters, balloon artists) will require tickets. The Texas Tornado will also be giving $1.00 of every ticket sold to the game that evening, back to the Frisco Helping Katrina Survivors fund.
Anyone showing a driver’s license from the state of Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama will be given a free wristband and 24 tickets for use at the event. The Texas Tornado will also be providing over 100 complimentary tickets to the game that evening for selected Hurricane Katrina survivors.
