Greetings,
The months of campaigning for the Frisco City Council is now over. The results are below. I have enjoyed serving our citizens over the last 7 years and want to thank everyone for their support and friendship. I want to congratulate the new Council Members. Please come out on Monday to the Town Hall meeting where you will get the opportunity to meet them. I sent out information about the townhall in the last newsletters.
The New Council Members will take their oath of Office on Tuesday at approx. 6:30PM at the City Council meeting. This will be my last meeting and, after canvassing the election, I will step down. I believe we will have cookies and refreshments at that transition, so please join me in welcoming the new Council Members and allowing me to say thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
Please take a moment and thank all the candidates for their hard work and dedication in placing their name on the ballot. It is not an easy thing to do and takes time away from their families in their quest to serve our community. Frisco has been a successful city because of all those volunteers. It has been a long election cycle with the run-off. I know that the last 30 days have been very difficult and all the candidates have worked hard!

David Prince also was successful in his bid for Place 4 of the Frisco City Council. I am confident that David will do a great job for the City of Frisco and congratulations are in order for a very well run campaign.
David received 1656 votes for 66.35%. David will also take his oath of office on Tuesday but will appear at the Monday evening Town Hall meeting. Place 4 is the seat I held and there is no doubt in my mind that David will do a great job. His new e-mail address, when activated, will be dprince@friscotexas.gov. |
